I've always felt the GR awards are taken by books that have good marketing and wide distribution. Naturally these are read by more people/users and get voted on. Also, I get good recommendations from these awards because some books are popular for a good reason.
Yes! Your comment on the marketing is spot on and is making me think it would be interesting to analyze how many of these books are from a major publishing house or from an independent…. Maybe that should be my next analysis…?

Yes! You might notice that bigger publishing houses have the upper hand. Also books that feature in prize lists would have an upper hand
